Extra squeezy!

Adapts from a Type-A USB Female socket to a Mini USB Male plug.

Mini-B 5-Pin connections are still super-popular with device manufacturers. You'll see them on everything from mp3 players, PlayStation 3 game controllers, to cameras and tablets to mobile phones. But who wants to carry around a bag full of cables with one for every portable device? Not me!

I like adapters, and I like them compact - just like this USB A Female to Mini-B 5-Pin male adapter. It works perfectly for shrinking a regular USB cable down to fit all your Mini-B 5-pin accessories, and fully supports both power and data for all your USB 2.0 needs. The moulded casing slims down to just 9.5mm x 7.8mm at the miniature end, and tapers out to full size after 9mm, giving you plenty of room in tight spaces.

Easy plug-and-play adapting for any Mini-B 5-Pin device..

Other Assets:

  • 5 Year Cable Chick Warranty!
  • High Quality USB 2.0 Type-A (Female) to Type Mini-B 5-Pin (Male) Adapter
  • Compact, durable construction
  • Colour: Black with Silver connectors
  • Note: This is a passive USB Adapter only. It does not support HOST functions, and so cannot be used for connecting storage devices to smartphones etc. A USB On-The-Go cable is required for this.

Question: I have a question about the USB Adaptor Type-A Female to Mini-B 5-Pin Male please. You say that it does not do host functions. I want to use it to connect a USB Telstra internet wireless stick to a mini USB port in my tablet. Would that be supported or do I have to buy something else?
Answer: "If your tablet is Windows-based, this adapter would work with a regular USB cable to connect a 4G or wireless internet device. If you have an iOS or Android based tablet, it probably won't work even if you did hook it up."

"Took advantage of one of your daily specials to buy myself some new headphones. They arrived two days later (not counting the weekend) and are spot on, replacing my old AKGs that my kids trashed. Also bought a set of in ear phones for my daughter at the same time, she's now a very happy camper."

Did you know Cable Chick also stock Quality Headphones?
