This might be the last DisplayPort to HDMI Cable you'll ever need to buy! A bold claim I know, but with support for resolutions up to 8K @ 60Hz, and 4K @ 144Hz, with HDR and eARC-support - I struggle to see what else I will even need from my DP to HDMI Cables! :-)

This long 3m DisplayPort v1.4 to HDMI v2.1 Cable is capable of an incredible resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 8K video @ 60Hz, or alternatively 4K video @ 144Hz!!! The final available features will depend on the connected hardware on each end of the cable.

Please Note: All DisplayPort to HDMI Cables only work from a DisplayPort source (like a laptop or computer) to a HDMI Display. This is because it's DisplayPort's functionality which allows this native support for HDMI. However HDMI ports on the otherhand are not natively compatible with DisplayPort, and so you'd need a HDMI to DisplayPort Converter Cable in such instances.

Premium in specification and premium in build, this cable speares no expense with gold connectors and a special aluminium-alloy plug which just feels great in hand. A nylon braiding on the cable itself is also a quality touch, and offers further protection to your investment. Like I said, I am not sure what else I would ever want from my DP to HDMI cable runs!

DisplayPort (DP) cables adapters are not bi-directional, and require a DP output which is DP++ (Dual Mode) compatible. When a DisplayPort to HDMI cable is connected to a DP++ (Dual-Mode) output, the output device senses the presence of the adapter/cable and sends HDMI signals over the DisplayPort connector rather than DisplayPort signals. No signal conversion is performed by the cable. HDMI signals are merely passed through.

Question: Will this allow my 1080ti to use the full range of resolution & refresh rates with my LG CX, while passing through audio over ARC?
Answer: "DisplayPort does not have an equivalent of HDMI's Audio Return Channel (ARC). Audio is available in one direction only with any cable like this - from the 1080TI (DisplayPort) to the LG CX (HDMI). In this configuration, PC audio will play through the LG speakers, but audio will not return from TV sources to the PC."
