Connect your DisplayPort source to any HDMI display at up to UHD 8K 60Hz!
Allows a DisplayPort source (like a computer graphics card) to connect to a HDMI display at resolutions up to 8K@60Hz
Running multiple screens for productivity or gaming is great, until you run out of HDMI sockets and still have a display (or two) left over. That's where a high-spec cable adapter like this comes in. Where USB docks struggle to provide multiple high-refresh-rate outputs, using a dedicated DisplayPort socket lets you run up to 8K @ 60Hz to a HDMI screen.
Supports DSC, Audio and all the fancy bells and whistles common to HDMI and DisplayPort, this plug-and-play adapter needs no drivers and no extra power. We successfully tested this at 4K 144Hz, which is the same HBR3 DSC bandwidth range as 8K60, so you're good for 5K, 4K, 2K and ultra-wide screens at a variety of high refresh rates.
Being a cable adapter means less strain on your DisplayPort socket. Requires a 48Gbps HDMI cable (sold separately) - up to 5 metres recommended max length for best results.
Compatibility & Directionality
Please note this passive cable requires a HDMI-compatible DisplayPort source. This is very common on modern GPUs and Laptops, but some older and non-consumer-grade hardware may not provide it. Also, this cable is not bi-directional, and does not convert HDMI sources to DisplayPort screens.

These days, a single monitor setup almost feels like a punishment. The experience of constantly expanding and minimising windows to perform a simple task knowing how easy it would be with a second monitor is frankly archaic. So this must be what Marty McFly felt like in 1955. Now unless you're a masochist, it might be time to introduce your display to a friend or two and experience how much better things can be. [
