To HD and beyond! The future is now.

How does 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD sound? Well, DisplayPort already has the technical specs to handle that sort of data, so it's only a matter of time before we have TVs with more pixels in them than the population of your standard Australian town. Until television catches up, you can still enjoy up to 4K resolutions (at 60hz) out of your gaming PC or work laptop on high res displays with a single 1.8m DisplayPort Male to Male Cable.

As well as video, DisplayPort can also handle up to 8 channels of audio for 7.1 compatibility, along with DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection). Our cable is the perfect match for all your DisplayPort hardware.

VESA Certified to HBR2 standards, this cable is capable of all DisplayPort features including 3D, HD, Multi-Channel Audio and more. As well as all DisplayPort v1.2 resolutions up to 4K@60Hz. Fully tested in-house on a Samsung U28D590 4K monitor at 60Hz from a Windows 8 Desktop PC. 144Hz support confirmed at 2560x1440 on an Acer Predator XB270HU under Windows 10!

Product Review by Peter,
Start Quote Hello guys, happy to give you a review, needed a cable capable of 144hz to connect my monitor and graphics card via display port, the one on ebay said it would but failed miserably, yours passed with flying colours. Next time I need a cable I will be going to cable chick, reasonable prices, service and fast postage, can't ask for anything more. Have a great day. Start Quote

Product Review by Gerard,
Start Quote My order was for a 3 metre displayport cable for a 4K screen. I had purchased about 3 cheap cables from other stores, but none of them would display at 4K. The one I purchased from you worked straight out of the packet! Thanks alot, guys! Start Quote

Product Review by Peter,
Start Quote I dropped into your store today and picked up the Display Port Male to DVI Female Adapter and connected it to my monitor and laptop. This works perfectly - the laptop recognises that this is a separate monitor, allowing me to choose the resolution I want (currently 1440 x 900) and also allows me to extend my desktop onto this screen too. There is no noticeable lag between the two external monitors (the other being hooked up to the laptop via the VGA connector port). So all in all very happy with this item - wouldn't have found it without your detailed specifications listed on the product description on your website. Start Quote
Explained: Multi-Monitor Setups
Explained: Multi-Monitor Setups
Written on 26th June, 2024 by Cable Chick
These days, a single monitor setup almost feels like a punishment. The experience of constantly expanding and minimising windows to perform a simple task knowing how easy it would be with a second monitor is frankly archaic. So this must be what Marty McFly felt like in 1955. Now unless you're a masochist, it might be time to introduce your display to a friend or two and experience how much better things can be.   [Read More]

Question: Is this display port 4k 60hz compatible, because at the bottom it says 4k@30hz?
Answer: "Yes. This cable has been fully tested in-house at 4K@30Hz and 4K@60Hz"
Posted: 27th June, 2016
Question: Is pin 20 (power) inactive on this cable?
Answer: "Yes. We specifically request cables without the power pin connected from our supplier to avoid the known boot-time failures which can occur on some equipment combinations (usually AI graphics cards)."
