Go beyond the limitations of traditional HDMI cabling with a hybrid fibre solution.
PLEASE NOTE: This cable is directional. It only sends video one way. Please follow the 'source' and 'display' markings on the plugs carefully to ensure the cable is installed correctly.
Avencore Carbon Series HDMI Active Optical Cables offer true 48Gbps at lengths beyond the ability of traditional copper cables. Aside from being a directional cable (with dedicated source and display ends), these cables operate just like a conventional HDMI cable, with no extra power or connections required - just a HDMI Male plug on each end! In most scenarios, your hardware will never know the difference.
Supports HDMI v2.1 abilities including 48Gbps, VFR, HFR, Dynamic HDR, eARC, CEC, HDR10+ and more. This amazing 10m cable requires no boosters or extra power to operate and is practically immune to environmental interference, making it a great option if your signal quality is being degraded by EMI or RFI.

With the dominance of HDR and 4K/8K gaming content in the home, manufacturers of hardware technology have quickly exceeded the capabilities of copper cables, limiting users just 5 metres or less in order to retain the bandwidth necessary for the biggest picture and best features.
That's not the case with the Avencore Carbon Series HDMI Active Optical Cable range. Using a fibre optic core, these exceptional cables are able to retain maximum bandwidth over all available lengths. Unlike other optical HDMI cables, the Carbon Series needs no external power of any kind, and can work with most consumer and commercial HDMI systems without any special setup requirements.
With full HDMI 2.1 hardware compatibility, you'll retain features like HDR, 32 Channel Audio, Rec. 2020, DSC and more - no matter how long your cable is. 8K UHD at 60Hz has never looked so good, and has never gone such a great distance! It's the perfect complement to PlayStation 5 and XBox Series X for 4K 60Hz gaming with HDR, and excels at high-end gaming PC compatibility, too. Now you can run a 5K Ultra-wide monitor up to 70m away from the rig!
Carbon Series HDMI Active Optical Cables are also easy to work with, sporting a 5.5mm cable diameter with metal alloy plugs measuring 17x9x36mm, plus the obligatory gold plated terminals. Flexibility is also high, with a 25mm safe bend radius, making them suitable for all installations including for use with VR systems or in-wall builds.
Some hardware may be fussy about optical cables. We've seen Nvidia Quadro GPUs and a few projectors spit the dummy on optical solutions, so we stand by our satisfaction guarantee when it comes to compatibility. Always give any optical cable a good bench test before permanent installation - if you find an unexpected issue that our troubleshooting can't fix, we'll look after you.
The Avencore Carbon Series HDMI Active Optical cable range is the ultimate in HDMI cable technology for the 8K era, and is targeted for use with 4K60 systems running HDR content, and easily handles 8K gaming content as well. Regular 4K Blu-ray and 1080p video content is also easy over longer distances, going much further than regular copper cables can achieve.
