Note: If you require the higher resolutions offered by DVI Dual-Link, please ensure both your source and display devices are DVI-D Dual Link compatible and avoid using HDMI. HDMI and DVI are only compatible over a 'single-link' connection, which limits video to 1080p or 1920x1200 maximum.
I needed a five-metre dual-link DVI cable, but I was a bit worried about purchasing the "5M DVI-D Dual Link to DVI-D Cable" as the length is pushing the limit of the DVI spec. Another cable I purchased elsewhere at the same length wouldn't even give me a picture unless the resolution was set as low as it would go. Expecting the worst, I went ahead and purchased it and I was overjoyed to discover that it works flawlessly! The signal never drops out, the picture is perfect (no snow), and the display syncs at the same speed as any other cable, and all at a resolution of 2560x1600 with a 30" LCD monitor. On top of that, delivery was very quick. Very impressive all around.
