Get your printer talking to your PC via a USB-C cable and socket with this handy adapter
Sometimes you've got to plug a new device into an old printer, and with USB Type-C reigning supreme over most notebooks now, it can be bothersome (or impossible) to track down and connect a Type-B printer cable. Well, with this handy little adapter, you can convert any USB Type-C Cable to work with standard home and office printers.
Yes, you'll be limited to USB 2.0 speeds, but that's plenty for most devices that use a Type-B socket, including printers and scanners and even some old portable hard drives and midi keyboards and such. You'll get data and some power, so most devices won't know the difference between this solution and using a full size USB socket.
Unfortunately, not all devices with USB-C will be able to talk with every device you might be able to plug this adapter into, so we recommend sticking to the operating system your device is designed for. With printers, this means Windows and Linux and Mac rather than Android.
