Component Video may be a bit of a dinosaur, but it was king in it's day! Component Video is an analogue video format, where the signal is separated into three separate cables for ultimate clarity. Remember, a good  Component Video connection can be almost indistinguishable from a digital HDMI signal!

You'll recognise the Component Video cable or sockets by the Red, Green and Blue RCA terminals, and our Component switches and splitters can breath new life into your legacy equipment.

Did you know that in most cases, a regular 3RCA AV switch or splitter can be used for either Component Video or Composite AV operations? Just be sure to connect the same coloured terminals from start to finish.
