Ever wanted to connect wirelessly to any speakers? Well now you can! Old TV can't pair to Bluetooth headphones? Well now you can do that, too!
Adds wireless Bluetooth functionality to any audio device that relies on 3.5mm stereo. In Receiver mode, you can pair your phone and play stream music to any speaker, head unit or receiver with AUX in. In Transmitter mode, play audio from the headphone output on your TV, handheld games console or CD Walkman and pair to your Bluetooth headphones!
This handy device unlocks the wireless Bluetooth potential of devices which don't offer it - especially older televisions, speakers, receivers and vehicles where you just want to be able to pair your smartphone or your favourite wireless headset without too much hassle. This adapter unit does just that, working as either a transmitter or a receiver depending on your needs.
It has a built-in battery that charges by USB-C socket and can run for hours on a single charge. One hour of charge should get you up to 8 hours of playtime in receiver mode or 5 hours in transmitter mode. This makes it easy to manage as there are no additional cable to get in the way when using the unit, and a great bit of kit to have on-hand in emergency road-trip scenarios.
Designed for music or media streaming only, as there are no functions for hand-free calling. It can connect and operate while charging, and audio quality in receiver mode is passable for the price-point and simplicity of features.

We all love the immersive experience of watching a movie from the comfort of our couch while an array of encircling speakers' envelope us within a wall of sound that transports us from our living rooms into the middle of the action taking place on screen. But as great as that is, there are times where this kind of set up isn't ideal. Sometimes, a more private and personal experience is required. [

Question:
Does using bluetooth affect the sound quality? Ive been told blue tooth can compress the sound and make it sound flat compared to sender/ receiver type systems- is this correct?
Cheers
Gary?
Answer:
"Back in the days of Bluetooth 1.0 and 2.0, when the technology was designed for use in mono hands-free headsets, audio quality was pretty rubbish. These days, Bluetooth does an exceptional job, even with compression, of keeping audio sounding tip-top - especially when much of our digital content is played from compressed MP3s, etc. It's still not as good as wired audio, but for non-critical applications where portability is more important than audio fidelity, it can be a workable compromise. Compared to IR wireless, it suffers less from interference, but may not sound as good (depending on the quality of the hardware involved)."

Question:
I have a DVTV with 1 x 3.5mm stereo plug outlet. can I plug this into this outlet and transmit the sound to a wireless speaker 3 m away?
Answer:
"Unfortunately not. This is a receiver only, and must be paired via Bluetooth to a device which pays audio. It cannot add Bluetooth to a non-Bluetooth audio source."

Question:
Do you have to pair every time, say every time you start the car?
Answer:
"Yes. You'll need to pair this every time you hop into the car. The BT audio receiver does not have an internal rechargeable battery to keep in 'stand-by' mode. So every time you turn the car off, your phone and the BT audio receiver will unpair."
