No wall socket? No Problem! Take the power with you.
Our mobile devices are our lifeline. Whether that means emergency contact with loved ones or keeping your handheld console going on a long trip, making sure you have the power to keep going is critical these days. And an award-winning battery bank that is super easy to use is a big help when you're away from a mains outlet.
The Cygnett Boost series offers basic functionality backed by a superb battery cell, so there's nothing to learn or remember when plugging it in. Use the included USB-C cable to charge it up from your wall charger (just like a smartphone) and when you're away from home you can plug in your gadgets to any of the sockets to top them up with power.
Both the USB Type-A sockets and the USB Type-C socket can charge devices at up to 5V/3A individually. You can connect to all three sockets at once if you like, and the total 15W output power will be shared between them. You also get a nice clear digital display showing the power bank's internal charge level as a percentage. Handy!
Some other power banks have more bells and whistles, but this one comes with a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED award from CHOICE, so you know you're getting a great battery pack you can rely on.
What is an mAh and how many do I need?
mAh (milliamp hours) is the number used to measure how much charge a battery can hold and discharge over time. Moving power between batteries is not very efficient, so you always want to have a bigger power bank rating compared to the device you want to charge up. Three times the mAh is a good rule of thumb if you want to charge a device from empty to full, but you'll get a lot more mileage out of a power bank if you charge between 20% and 85% rather than 0% to 100%.
