The SCIENCE is how well engineered this cable is! The timer feature on the breakout point of this cable is surprisingly handy. Three lights means the cable is functioning normally. Push the button once to charge for an hour, twice to charge for two hours and a third time to charge for three hours. Push again to return to full time charging. This is extremely useful if you're using a powerbank, for example, and just need a one hour charge to get you across the line without wasting the powerbank. Or if you don't like leaving things charging overnight, simply set the timer to 1, 2 or 3 hours and sleep easy.
