Upgrade your outputs without upgrading your computer case!
Keeping all of your home computing and entertainment devices up to date with each other can be a very expensive task if you tackle problems the wrong way. For instance, if your old PC doesn't have the eSATA ports you need to operate your new, top-of-the-line, super-fast eSATA external hard drive, you could be looking at over a hundred dollars worth of new case – plus the trouble of rebuilding your whole PC into it – if you didn't have Cable Chick here to help you out, that is!
You see, the greatest part about the PC platform is the modular nature of components, and these days, plug-and-play is not only more prevalent, but also does what it says! This Dual Port eDATA Expansion Bracket (SATA / SATAII Compatible) is one such easy solution to a once difficult and common problem. Instead of buying a case with the external ports you need, this puppy can plug into just about any PC with one or two spare SATA I/O ports on the motherboard.
From the back, the bracket appears just like any other PCIE component, able to take two eSATA devices simultaneously for ultra-high-speed data transfer to the main hard drives or to each other. On the inside, it's just a clever pair of 30cm SATA to eSATA conversion cables that are shielded against EMI/RFI and also meet the serial ATA 1.0 standards.
Installation is a breeze; you just screw the bracket into an open PCI slot and connect the cables to open SATA ports on your mainboard. As soon as you power back up, you'll have plug-and-play eSATA access! Expand your data capacity without taking a step back to lowly USB speeds.
And if you need eSATA cables to go between this bracket and your external hard drive or dock, look no further than my own premium 1m eSATA Male to Male Cable.
