As HDMI gets faster, the cables get shorter. That's just the way of the world when it comes to ultra-high bandwidth video. But there are some solutions, and when you don't have the budget for a slick Active Optical HDMI cable, or you need a more robust and cleap-to-replace interconnect, why not go with a CAT6 solution? This kit has what it takes to run 4K@120Hz up to 30 metres with almost no latency!
In the box is the transmitter and receiver (which must be linked directly and can't go via your Ethernet network), power adapters for both, and a pair of IR bulbs for your remote control if you want them. Operation is plug and play, with only an EDID switch that lets you choose between having the kit itself request 4K120Hz, or pass-through your display's EDID to the source instead. The IR sender/receiver can be attached forwards or backwards, or not at all, enabling control of the source from the remote display, or control of the remote display from the source (but not both).
This product is targeted at applications requiring 4K@120Hz specifically, and as such expects to be fed from a computer system or current-gen games console offering that display mode. While it can handle 1080p and 60hz content, it is not compatible with many other 'gaming' display resolutions like 1440p or 5K ultrawide, or other refresh rates like 100Hz or 144Hz.
