This gadget is an odd little duck, but it could come in very handy when you need an easy way to get different computers to talk to each other. The simple USB Hub functionality is just like any other, offering 3 super-speed sockets for attaching keyboard, mice, usb drives and more. The fourth port, labeled Sync, has the power to make a USB-based network connection between two computers - even if they're running different operating systems!
Initial set-up is a bit of a hassle, but the main software is pre-loaded onto the device and appears as a special drive when plugged into your Windows-based PC or OSX 10.6+ computer system. It does all the heavy lifting including:
Android setup is a bit trickier, and requires the download of the Windroid Linker app (free from the Google Play Store). Android also doesn't benefit from the full suite of features such as drag-and-drop across screens, but does offer deep file and folder access which is normally inaccessible - be careful!
Windows to Windows, Mac to Mac, Windows to Mac, Windows to Android and Mac to Android all benefit from fast USB file copy rates and easy access to files without the need for an Ethernet or WiFi network - just add in your required length of USB Male to Male cable (not included). The user manual has all the steps required to get your systems talking in no time!
