Avencore's most compact DisplayPort to VGA adapter is the perfect solution for DP to legacy VGA connections!
Converts from a DisplayPort (DP++) source device to a VGA female socket, for connection to a VGA Monitor, TV or Projector (one way only).
VGA signals up to 1920 x 1200. That's better than HD (just) from a 30-year old standard! I'm impressed. More pixels equals more fun in my book! The DisplayPort connectors are fairly new on the scene, but they developed it with almost universal compatibility in mind. That's why I can bring you a compact, passive and unpowered adapter which has a wide resolution support and DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection) integration. This slim design doesn't have any screwholes, which keeps its size down for travel and when you need to connect adapters side by side.
While the adapter knows all the tricks of the trade, not all DisplayPort source devices are equipped to output VGA compatible signals, so check your manual or look for the D++ logo to make sure your equiment has the goods to give you VGA compliance. If so, it's as simple as plugging it in and letting 'er rip!
- 5 Year Replacement Warranty
- Avencore DisplayPort (Male) to VGA (Female) Adapter
- Uni-directional, the DisplayPort must be the source device, not the display device!
- DisplayPort D++ source to VGA screen
- Perfect for converting a display Port Device for use with a VGA Monitor or Projector
- Gold Plated Connectors for optimal signal quality
- Full Support for DPCP (Display Port Content Protection)
- DisplayPort Output device with the ability to convert VGA is required (look for the DP++ icon)
- Colour: Black with Silver Connectors
DisplayPort Compatibility Note
DisplayPort (DP) adapters require a DP output which is DP++ (Dual Mode) compatible. When a DisplayPort to VGA adapter is connected to a DP++ (Dual-Mode) output, the output device senses the presence of the adaptor and performs an active signal conversion from DisplayPort to VGA. This adaptor is not bi-directional, and does not convert VGA to DisplayPort.

Will it provide sound from the computer to data projector whish has a VGA/audio cable?
"Unfortunately not. DisplayPort can only handle digital audio, and there is no 3.5mm jack as part of this adapter. You could run audio directly from your computer's headphone jack, though."

Is this compatible will Dell PCs? I currently have a DisplayPort to VGA from another supplier onsite and it is cause major flicker and interference on the displays (2 x 50inch commercial displays)?
"This adapter is compatible with all Dual-Mode DisplayPort outputs, regardless of the brand of computer they are attached to.
Flickering could be a symptom of a faulty adapter, an issue with cable quality or length, or the selected screen resolution being handled poorly by the display."
