A. Presuming that you want a Component Video connection on your DVD Player and the DVI connection on the LCD Monitor, it will work if the DVI port on the LCD is DVI-A or DVI-I (which can both carry Analog Video signals).

Many newer LCD & Plasma panels only feature DVI-D (Digital Only) DVI Connections, which means you cannot send Analog signals to them through a DVI to Component or DVI to VGA cable.

Unfortunately it can be difficult to tell which connection your LCD has, and you cannot determine this just by looking. If you cannot determine the DVI Connection type in the product manual, you may need to do some searching in Google or contact the LCD manufacturer.
