Q. Was just a bit confused by a seeming discrepancy in the listing. Under INPUTS in the main article, it has 4 x HDMI Inputs + 4 x TOSLINK Digital Optical Audio Inputs listed. A. Yes, there are 4x HDMI and 4x TOSLINK Optical inputs. The section which describes in brief the number of Inputs and Outputs only refers to each 'Set' of inputs as a single input.

For example, a AV switch which takes 4 sets of Component Video, S-VHS, Coaxial Audio & TOSLINK Audio, would still be described as having 4 inputs.

A. Yes, you can in the sense you can program your universal remote to operate this device. Q. Can I input a coax audio signal and then have it ouput via TOSLINK? (Posted: 5th Nov, 2008)
A. No, this device is simply a switch and will not convert one signal to another. For example if you plug in a TOSLINK cable, the only output that the TOSLINK input can output is TOSLINK, this applies to all the different inputs and outputs available on this switch.
