Never run another cable through a wall or ceiling!

You may look at me and think I'm not the type of person to crawl through a roof cavity to install a cable, but I assure you that I've been there, done that, and ruined a perfectly good pair of shorts doing it! We had 1080p Gears of War streaming through the ether (and a wall!) to a TV set over 10m away in about 10 minutes. No compression, no audio loss, no artifacts and best of all, the picture was so near to real-time I couldn't pick a difference.

The box comes with a sender/receiver pair, a set of IR extenders, a remote, some screws for a wall mount and lastly a bonus high quality 1m HDMI v1.3 cable just in case you're one short. The sender unit can accept two souce inputs, effectively making it a two-in/one-out switch and splitter as well, so you can pass-through to an optional local screen from its single wired output! Then, it'll broadcast a signal on the 5GHz band to the reciever unit up to 20m away with line-of-sight or 8 to 10m through walls and floors.

The remote works on both units to select source, change the broadcast channel to avoid interference with cordless phones, or even boost the signal if you're having a tough time connecting up. The initial handshake protocol takes about 80 or 90 seconds to establish a link, but if you don't power the units down the link will remain even if you turn your TV and source devices off.

If this isn't the ultimate Wireless HDMI solution you can get for under $400, then one doesn't exist! This is all things to all people who live in units or rental properties where they simply can't install cables in the walls (or are like me and have learned their lesson).
